Temple University’s 137th Commencement
Congratulations, Class of 2024!
The Class of 2024 began their Temple Made journey on Zoom, but on May 8, 2024, they ended it in a packed Liacouras Center at the university’s 137th Commencement. With family, friends, staff and faculty in attendance, graduates had the opportunity to reflect on what a difference four years have made while celebrating their perseverance and accomplishments.
President Richard M. Englert and Provost Gregory N. Mandel congratulated them on this important milestone. Honorary degree recipient and award-winning actress, writer, producer and showrunner Quinta Brunson encouraged them to maintain the relationships they’ve formed at Temple. Owls of a feather flock together.
Historian Charles L. Blockson was also awarded an honorary degree posthumously for establishing Temple’s Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, one of the most prestigious collections of African American artifacts in the U.S.
All in all, the Class of 2024 relished in the good they’ve done as they look forward to continuing to make their mark on the world after leaving the nest.
